Written Demands, employment Complaints, & Investigations
Demands & Complaints for Wages: If a company owes you salaries, you can send your company a composed demand for payment of wages by mail, email, text, or other electronic methods. A written need may be sent out to the employer at the very same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for unsettled incomes is filed with the Division. The Labor Standards Complaint Form can be found on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, employment and Settlements website.
Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a total Labor Standards Complaint Form is received and examined, a letter describing the nature of the problem and the amounts alleged to be owed is sent to the employer. For more details about the examination procedure, please evaluate the Wage & Hour Claim Investigations – Employer FAQs webpage.
Investigations Launched by the Division (” Direct Investigations”): The Division might conduct employer-wide direct investigations of possible violations of Colorado wage and hour law. If you would like to submit a pointer, please email the Division at cdle_di_tips@state.co.us. If you would like to submit an individual claim for overdue earnings, you must fill out a Labor Standards Complaint Form on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements web page. To appeal a direct examination citation or several Notices of Assessment, an alleged company might send a Direct Investigation Appeal Form.
